Description:

Create screencasts of any process (series of screens) from your computer with audio. Access via a weblink or embed ready for playing in any webpage/wiki/blog etc.

Suggested Curriculum Applications:

Provide instructions on "how to" complete any process on a computer as a short (5 minutes) 'screencast' that can be accessed from anywhere.

Registration requirements/To use:

Need to have a Twitter account - don't have to publish the screencast to Twitter.
To register for Twitter need a username and email address.
Go to www.twitter.com - Select Sign Up now - complete Name, Username, Password and email address.
Your Twitter login details will be used to create a screencast in screenr

Pitfalls:

Occassionally, the screen recorder fails to come up. Exit and try again.
CHECK micrphone volume on your computer before recording to ensure appropriate sound levels in the recording.
(Volume Control - Options - Properties - Choose 'Conexent HD Audio input' - OK - Select microphone - adjust volume)

Instructions:​

​NB: Worth watching the one minute tour on the opening screen.
Select Record
Wait for the screen recorder to be loaded
Resize the frame on the section of the screen required - all or any section
Click on the red record button, and record any series of screen shots, narrating as you go.
Click on DONE when finished
Preview the screencasat
Type a description - this will appear with the screencast
Tick the box if you don't wish to 'tweet' your screencast
Select Tweet it! (It won't if you have ticked the box)
You will now need to enter your Twitter login details
The screencast will be created
Copy the URL provided to link to it at anytime OR copy the embed code to use in your webpage/wki/blog to play instantly
NB: The screencast will be stored at sceenr.com under "My Screencasts" to be accessed anytime.
